Thanks to the new Sanyo Xacti E6 with its huge 3 inch display, I won’t go blind anymore. Looking at puny 1 inch screens while taking pictures of the latest gadget babes always gave me a headache as I have the oldest Nikon digital camera around ( no budget !) So I’ll be saving more lunch money now that I want to get this baby in my hands …..you can even add in the popular new Sony Ericsson W800 Walkman Mobile Phone to my list of wants too.
Sanyo introduces the new Sanyo Xacti E6, an ultra-thin digital camera from the Xacti series. Apart from the 3x internal optical zoom the special characteristics of the Sanyo E6 are an impressive large 3-inch (7,32 cm) LCD display, MPEG4 format video recording and a so called Touch-Sensor. This new feature should improve the reaction of the Sanyo Xacti E6. The Touch-Sensor is in fact a short-cut to focus faster on a subject. By touching the release button on top of the camera the Sanyo E6 is already ready to capture the image, you can compare it with half-pressing a ordinary shutter release button of a digital camera. By integrating this new features Sanyo improves the reaction time by 0.05 seconds.
The internal optical zoom lens offers a focal length of 38-114mm, providing a brightness of f/3.3 – 4.0. The Sanyo E6 has a 1./2.5-inch CCD image sensor and captures still images with a resolution of 6 Megapixels. The images are stored on the internal memory of 16MB or on an external Secure Digital or MultiMedia Card.
