Keith from Kenpo dropped me an email awhile back on their Kenpo iPod Jacket. The Kenpo iPod Jacket employs “smart fabric” touch pad technology that transforms the sleeve into a 5-button electronic control panel for use with the iPod and iPod mini models (not for Nanos yet). The discreetly placed 100% fabric interface utilizes touch-sensitive buttons that are identical to those found on the iPod Device. The jacket is machine washable, completely self-powered, and requires no batteries. Very environment friendly and a great way to listen to your iPods though you’ll need to leave your colourful iPod casings at home.
The best part is that the wearer can control their iPod from the 5-button touchpad control system on the lower portion of the sleeve. The iPod hides in the jacket’s inner pocket, and you simply run your earbuds through the inside of the jacket so can listen to your iPod while you control it from your sleeve. The integrated iPod system is compatible with iPod and iPod minis, except the nano and shuffle.
