Love them or hate them, microtransactions run rampant in the happy land of the Xbox. Spend real money to get virtual money to spend on maps, games, guns and fun. But how much is one MS Point worth in actual currency? And when they say 1200 MS Points, how much is that out of your pocket?
It was only a matter of time really, until the Xbox world had a Xe.com equivalent. Developer Steve Hunter has created the “Unofficial Xbox Microsoft Points Converter“, which allows a user to input any amount of MSPs and automatically have it converted into real world cash. They’ve recently added converstion to Swiss and Norwegian currencies, bringing the total up to eight (GBP, EUR, USD, CAN, JPY, AUD, CHF, NOK).
As an added bonus, you can also select premium content items and XBLA games from pulldown menus and find out just how much an Arwen, Dwarves + More Theme (sounds like a good adult film to me…) will cost you. One dollar, eighty-seven cents, or 150 MSP for those of you keeping count.
