I totally missed out on the theme day for the sports channel here at b5media. Sniff. I already told you guys why. But just so you guys know what went on, I’m linking up to the guys who did get to join in the fun. It was about movies!

So, bringing in some entertainment from the boys, let’s recap:

  • Jab and Grapple
  • Knuckle Curve
  • Six and Out
  • I’m bummed out. I was planning to tell you guys about that Steven Spielberg movie, Munich, which stars the gorgeous Eric Bana. Hehe. I guess I’ll leave it off for another day. Sigh.

Initially, I wanted to highlight the movie about the first Jamaican Bobsled team, Cool Runnings, but I already wrote about it.

AND also feature the movie, Chariots of Fire that I only got to see last year when I rummaged through my brother-in-law’s video collection. Totally cool movie.

Thanks to Matt, I also learned more about other Olympic Films that are out there. Imagine that.

I hope I get to participate on the next theme day. :(

For now, you can head over the nearest video rental shop and see these suggested movies to keep you entertained today. :)

You missed The Ringer! OK, so it’s technically not PC and all that, but it’s about the (special) Olympics… !

Gah. I guess, my selection’s limited. I’ll try to look it up and see it! Actually — I’m still racking my brain for other “Olympic” movies I’ve already seen. Thanks for the heads up, though!

We have another theme day coming up where we sum up the last year in our respective sports. Was a bit of a poor show it seems from the channel in terms of sports movie type stuff!

Ack. That’s a tough one me thinks. How can I possibly sum up the Olympics?! LOL. :D

Good call on Chariots of Fire. I remember seeing that when it came out — excellent film!

Absomalutely! :D It came well recommended. I wondered why I didn’t see it when it came out then I realised I was probably too young. ;) [er, no pun intended]
