I listen to ESPN radio on a regular basis, I watch sports on television and I talk about sports with my family and friends. I also happen to be a girl — a girl who digs sports. It doesn’t matter if its baseball, hockey, football, soccer or basketball. If it’s a competitive sport of any kind, chances are pretty good that I’m into it. I also know that I’m not the only girl out there who loves to watch and talk about sports. There are just as many girls who “dig” sports, as there are guys. The only difference is that we don’t have that many outlets or forums to discuss the sports we love. I read sports blogs daily. And I have yet to find a blog that is devoted entirely to girls who have a vested interest in sports.
That is until now.
Introducing GirlsDigSports.com — A blog devoted entirely to girls like me, who love sports. (Sorry Mom — I guess I never really grew out of that “tomboy” phase after all!)
I’ll be covering everything in the wide world of sports from a female perspective five days a week, at least twice a day. Feel free to sound off and voice your opinions. They are not only valued, they are encouraged. Tell me if you think Kobe Bryant really is comparable to Michael Jordan, or if the Yankees’ financial bubble, the one that has bought them championship after championship, has finally burst. Your comments and opinions will help make this blog all that it can be and more.
I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I will enjoy writing it.
