I’ve hit quads once or twice, but I don’t think I’ve ever hit a straight or royal flush. If I had a straight or royal flush, my first reaction would be to check. Checking comes almost without fail any time I hit a big hand. In fact, sometimes I find myself acting too emphatically but usually nobody notices.
I compiled three videos today of royal and straight flushes. The first is a straight flush caught by Daniel who somehow calls out the last two cards he needs for the straight flush while Jerry Buss gets stuck with only an Ace high flush.
The second clip is another Tony G video. He has the unfortunate luck of flopping a royal flush but extracting absolutely no money out of it even when his opponents hit two pair and trips. The flush on the board scared of John Juanda and Patrik Antonius.
