Oh, how I want this to be real. Okay, it’s not the rumored iTablet exactly, but more of a look at its operating system in action, from someone who claims to have access to the device’s developer’s kit. It’s short but sweet. Take a look:

What do you think? The smoothness of that transition looks slick enough to have originated from Apple. But who knows, it’s probably just somebody with too much time on their hands.

In related news, Gizmodo has exclusive info from an insider source who’s claiming that the Apple Tablet will have a 10″ screen, look like a giant iPhone, and will cost somewhere between $700 and $900. They also claim that there’s talk of releasing the Tablet in two flavors: one with a built-in webcam, and another “for educational use.” Apple is also reportedly considering making the device work as a secondary screen/touchpad for iMacs and MacBooks. Hmm.

Gizmodo still believes the iTablet could be released as soon as this holiday season.

CNet claims that Apple is planning a keynote event for the second week of September, during which the next generation of iPods are expected to be unveiled. But is that all? Will Apple reveal its Cocktail music format for downloading full albums from iTunes? More importantly, will the Tablet be publicly announced, at last?

Stay tuned.
