If you go to interview the Baltimore Ravens, Coach Harbaugh has some news for you: you better stand or leave. Is this really news? Apparently it is to some ESPN (The Magazine) staff that was lollygagging around on the field. They were “stretching out on the ground behind the end zone, lounging under an umbrella” and Harbaugh went ballistic when he saw them.
He did a “when you come to my house you play by my rules” type of rant, and kicked the lot of them out. He reportedly yelled that it wasn’t a country club, and the group needed to leave. (But do people really lounge under umbrellas at country clubs? I thought they played tennis or something there?)
In case you’re wondering what the hub-bub is, Harbaugh has a rule where no one sits during Ravens practice. NO ONE. You can’t lay down. You can’t grab a chair. Or some turf. You stand. Or leave.
