When you think about Jack Daniel’s, you likely think of whiskey. However, Jack Daniel’s now is hoping that you will think about fully cooked meat as well. In a partnership with Completely Fresh Foods, Inc., Jack Daniel’s is launching a line of fully cooked meat products.

This line of ready to eat meat includes barbecue pulled chicken, barbecue pulled pork, pork loin, roasted beef brisket, baby back ribs and more. Each meat is made with Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey and simply needs to be heated and served.

With more consumers staying in instead of going to restaurants due to the current economic slowdown, ready to eat food items have been selling very well at grocery stores. Jack Daniel’s and Completely Fresh Foods, Inc. hope to cash in on that trend.

Said Josh Solovy of Completely Fresh Foods, Inc.: “Our endeavor at Completely Fresh Foods is to provide world class products and we are using special cooking and preparation methods to create authentic Jack Daniel’s products including slow cooking for up to 9 hours, proprietary Jack Daniel’s flavored spice rubs that are hand applied and oven glazing, an extra step that builds in flavor.”

I just bought a 32 oz. pkg. of pulled pork. In one of the 16 oz. pkg. there were three large hunks of fat that had to be thrown out. one was 2 inches long and one inch wide. the other two were one inch long and wide. The flavor of the meat was very good but I was disappointed in the large amount of waste. Bridget Drumm 516 Winters Eve. Flushing, Mi. 49433

I’ve purchased the pulled pork several times, never had a problem with too much fat. I think it is a great product. I’m from south Louisiana, so we arn’t too hard to please.
