If you are driving a GMC Denali you know you are driving the best in luxury for GMC. At the top of the Denali family is the 2010 GMC Yukon Denali Hybrid. If you are in the market for a new full sized luxury SUV don’t overlook the Yukon. This work-horse of a truck can challenge any car in it’s class.

Now available as a hybrid, the Yukon can get 20mpg in the city and 21mpg out on the highway. If you are one who will be doing allot of driving through slow moving traffic you’ll love that the Yukon’s hybrid system can operate on electric alone, switching on the Votec 6.0L V8 332 hp engine one the SUV reaches 28 mph.

The Yukon is big! The car can seat up to 8 full sized adults comfortably. This could be a life saver on those long family trips. With space to spare your kids will feel like they are at home in the living room. The price tag on one of these aren’t cheap though. Expect to pay a starting price of $58,000.

I wish GMC would add the two-mode hybrid system to the 2010 Yukon XL Denali now; and make it optionally available in the forthcoming 2011 Acadia Denali (hopefully allowing it to achive an overall 23-25 mpg average fuel economy).

I ordered a 2010 Denali Hybrid back in September and after being told that they would begin production in mid-october, I still have not received a production date much less a deleivery date. Dealer doesn’t know and GMC doesn’t know, I’m assuming that’s why their having so many problems.
