Fair Grounds Recap – Dec 20th
Fast main track and yielding turf course. Late runners enjoyed plenty of success on both surfaces.
Victor Lebron and Shane Sellers both booted home a pair. Helen Pitts saddled two winners on the card.
Horse for course Good And Lucky rallied for the win in the 45th running of the Tenacious Handicap. Shane Sellers rode the winner for Josie Carroll.
A couple of decent 3yo’s ran in the optional claiming 10th, and Indiana Derby also-ran Fundy got back on track with an off the pace neck tally. Flying Pegasus made a nice move to grad the lead in the stretch, but he weakened to finish a clear 3rd in his first start since June.
On the analysis front, I got home tops Fundy ($10) and Pass By The House ($11.20). I also tabbed the 1st race trifecta ($53.80), the 3rd race exacta ($25.40), the 11th race exacta ($62.80), the final pick three ($260), and the late double ($66.40).
