With the Super Bowl in the books and the celebrations dying down, NFL fans want to know one thing: Who are the favorites heading into next season! Here’s a very early look at the 2010 NFL power rankings.

1. Indianapolis Colts
The Colts are a very safe pick to have success yet again next season. If Peyton Manning gets some help in the running game and the defense stays healthy, watch out for the Colts next season.

2. New Orleans Saints
The Saints have a lot of question marks — mostly due to having some many free agents. But if they can bring back their core, the Saints are definitely talented enough to win it all once again.

3. New England Patriots
If Tom Brady can get to 100% and get more help from his offensive line and defense, the Patriots will be a favorite. They have the coaching and a few great pieces, now they need to fill out the rest of their holes.

4. Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers had a rough fall from grace last year but a lot of it can be attributed to injury. There are still Super Bowl caliber pieces in place.

5. San Diego Chargers
For a lot of last season, the Chargers were as good as any team in the NFL. Now if they can just keep that momentum heading into the playoffs, they’d be scary.

really?? these picks are struggling.. I think he’s the only one who has the Steelers and Pats that high… no way either of them should be over the Chargers… and where are the Baltimore Ravens? They’ve only been the most consistent playoff team besides the Colts and have added two great receivers and some studly linebackers… not a good list..
