The much-awaited massively multiplayer online trading card game Camon Hero is finally in closed beta. That’s the good news. The bad news, though, is players will only be able to enjoy the game for around five days, from March 2nd to March 5th.
In celebration of the closed beta test, Camon Hero publisher Uforia has a lineup of events for players. First up is a leveling event where players who reach Level 25 will be given a Private Store Guard Card (30 days), an item that will be offered when the item mall launches.
For those unfamiliar with Camon Hero, here’s a short description:
Camon Hero is touted as the latest multicontrol MMORPG, meaning players get to control one character and several summoned mobs courtesy of the game’s Card Summoning System. The game focuses on strategy and micromanagement as players lead an army of summoned mobs, a maximum of 10, into battle.
The game, which is set to launch this spring in North America, uses a unique card system that allows players to create their own unique play style. Will you believe that there are over 12 trillion unique summon hand combinations in Camon Hero? This ensures that players will always have new strategies to try, whether in player versus player or player versus environment situations.
“Camon Hero manages to blend the best elements of Trading Card Games with MMORPGs, giving players a unique gameplay experience in an MMORPG,” said JK Kim, chief executive officer of Uforia. “We are eager to open the game up to players during the closed beta and look forward to their insightful feedback.”
Other events that players can join during the limited closed beta testing include:
Search for Incorrect Spelling and Grammar Event. This event challenges players to help find any errors in the game and the top three players who submit the most spelling and grammar corrections for the game client first will win a large amount of Meso (the in-game currency of Camon Hero) that they can use at the launch.
Keep Your Name Event. This event gives players who reach at least Level 12 the opportunity to keep their chosen character names at launch.
Survey Event. If you want the chance to win a Special Wing Item that your character can don in open beta, this event is for you.
GM Guerrilla Events. These series of events will take place during the closed beta test. The GMs will make a number of special events to be announced throughout the test with some great in-game items as prizes. Events may include anything from games of Special Monster Summon, Hide and Seek to random Pop Quizzes.
