Evan Turner was the second overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft. In his debut game against the Miami Heat, he had one moment he’ll never forget. Isolated against Dwyane Wade, Evan Turner crossed over Dwyane Wade and then buried a jumper. Watch the video below to see the rookie’s first highlight in the NBA.
When Turner gets the ball, he hesitates for a few moments. He then fakes a pass down low. With Dwyane Wade off balance, Turner crosses him over and then pulls up for 20 feet away. The ball hits nothing but net.
Though he came off the bench, Turner played 31 minutes and scored 16 points, pulled down seven rebounds and dished out four assists. He made seven of his ten shots from the field and two of his three free throws. Even with Turner playing well, the Sixers lost to the Heat by a final score of 97-87.
