Randy Shannon has been fired as the head coach of the Miami Hurricanes. Now one of the best college football head coaching gigs is available. Which coach will land the job of trying to turn Miami back into a powerhouse? There are already a ton of names being talked about, however here are our top five candidates.

Jon Gruden
Even though he’s thought of as an NFL coach, Jon Gruden may be interested in taking a job at Miami that could be the last stop of his coaching career if he has success.

Bob Stoops
At Oklahoma, Bob Stoops is a legend. But with the talent base in Florida, Stoops could become an all-time great.

Mario Cristobal
If the Hurricanes want an in-state coach who has had success in the area, all they have to do is look at Mario Cristobal, the man who has turned around FIU.

Gary Patterson
TCU has been good year after year. Miami would do great to land Gary Patterson and his fantastic coaching record.

Ray Lewis
Why not? If Ray Lewis hangs it up in the offseason, does anyone doubt he has the energy and smarts to make a great coach?
