LeBron James is gearing up for his return to Cleveland. His Miami Heat play the Cavaliers on Thursday in what might be the most hyped game of the season. All eyes will be on Cleveland as LeBron tries to get a win in the city he called home for the first seven seasons on his NBA career.
“It’s going to be very emotional,” admitted LeBron. “I give a lot of thanks to that city, a lot of thanks to those fans for giving me the opportunity to not only showcase my talent, but to grow from a young boy to a man during my seven years.”
Of greater concern might be LeBron’s safety. Cavs fans are understandably emotional about LeBron’s return. Let’s hope that no one does anything stupid. Thankfully, Cleveland and the Cavs organization are on high alert and will have tons of extra security precautions in place.
Thruthfully, everyone involved will be glad when this game is over. LeBron won’t have much fun getting booed and hated on by the fans who used to love him. Cleveland won’t have fun watching its superstar play for another team. When all is said and done, hopefully cooler heads prevail.
