Although the New Jersey Nets traded away their top choice earlier in the year in the trade to get Deron Williams, they still had three selections in the 2011 NBA Draft. In the first round, the Nets picked Marshon Brooks at 25.
Brooks is a scorer who should thrive at the shooting guard position for the Nets. With New Jersey needing offense, Brooks is a player that can provide a scoring punch. He could be a real sleeper of this draft.
In the second round, the Nets selected Bojan Bogdanovic at 31 and Jordan Williams at 36. Bogdanovic is a real talent but he’s a fixture over in Europe and it will be difficult to get him to cross the pond anytime soon.
As for Williams, he’s a hard-nosed rebounder and defender who could get minutes as a rookie for the Nets.
