The Miami Heat lost the 2011 NBA Finals to the Dallas Mavericks in an emotional series. In the 2011 NBA Draft, the Heat took a step toward improving their team by trading for Norris Cole — who was selected with the 28th pick in the draft.
Cole is a point guard who might be able to play right away for the Heat. He’s smart, he can score and he’s a quality shooter. With point guard being the Heat’s biggest weakness, Cole’s addition is even that much more valuable.
Ironically, Cole went to Cleveland State. That means not only did the Heat steal LeBron James from Cleveland, they also now poached Cole.
Cole won’t start right away for the Heat but I’d be surprised if he’s not in the rotation at some point in the season.
