The NBA lockout is getting serious. According to multiple sources, David Stern and Dwyane Wade got in a fight during Friday’s negotiating session. Wade was apparently felt disrespected after Stern pointed at him and responded by yelling at the commissioner.
After the incident, Wade and other players were going to leave the negotiations. But after Stern met with union leader Billy Hunter, Hunter was able to convince Wade and the others to stay.
The other players at Friday’s session included LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce and Carmelo Anthony. There were also about ten owners present.
While neither side claimed any progress was made, a good sign is that they agreed to meet again on Saturday. However, if huge progress isn’t made within the next week, expect the beginning of the 2011-12 NBA season to be canceled.
