Mark Zuckerberg has money to burn after launching Facebook.com in the heart of Silicon Valley. However, looking back on it, Zuckerberg now says that moving to Silicon Valley was a mistake.

In an interview on TechCrunch, Zuckerberg talked about what he would do if he could go back in time.

“If I were starting now I would do things very differently,” explained Zuckerberg. “I didn’t know anything. In Silicon Valley, you get this feeling that you have to be out here. But it’s not the only place to be. If I were starting now, I would have stayed in Boston.”

Zuckerberg explains that he is bothered by Silicon Valley due to the “short-term focused” atmosphere.

Said Zuckerberg: “There’s a culture out here where people don’t commit to doing things.”

Maybe Zuckerberg is right. But then again, it’s easy to talk that way once you have billions in your back pocket.
