Tiger Woods is still looking for his first official win in more than two years. However, he’s slowly but surely climbing the official world golf ranking. In the latest ranking, Tiger is 17th overall. He’s sandwiched by Phil Mickelson at 16 and Sergio Garcia at 18.
Luke Donald of England is No. 1. Behind him sits Rory McIlroy of Northern Ireland at No. 2. England’s Lee Westwood rounds out the top three.
The top American is Steve Stricker at No. 5. Including Stricker, there are seven Americans above Tiger in the world golf ranking.
Last week, Tiger was 25th. He finished third at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship and that was enough to make the big jump.
