In 2012 fantasy baseball, Albert Pujols is one of the most sought after players … and for good reason. Pujols is arguably the best hitter of his generation and is coming off of a World Series championship with the St. Louis Cardinals.
In the offseason, Pujols signed a giant deal with the Los Angeles Angels. How will he play in 2012? Expect great things. He’s still only 32 years old and should have two or three years of elite play left in his career.
Last season, Pujols hit .299 with 37 homers, 99 RBIs and 105 runs. With the Angels, he should be able to put up even better numbers.
The good thing about moving to the American League is the fact that he can now be used at DH some of the time. With Pujols at DH, he can save his legs and extend his career.
My Albert Pujols projections: .323 batting average, 41 homers, 115 RBIs and 122 runs.
