Stephen Curry continues to be dogged by his bad right ankle. Now, the Golden State Warriors are so concerned that they may decide to keep him out for the rest of the season. Considering that the Warriors aren’t going to make the playoffs, that would probably be the right thing to do.
On the season, Curry is averaging 14.7 points, 5.3 assists and 3.4 rebounds per game. He’s shooting 49% from the field, 45.5% on three-pointers and 80.9% at the line. With the trade of Monta Ellis, Curry is now the face of Golden State’s franchise.
One problem remains: His ankle. Over the last couple seasons, Curry has twisted his ankle nearly a dozen times. He had surgery in an attempt to fix the issue but it hasn’t seen much relief yet.
Going forward, Curry has the potential to be a superstar … as long as his health cooperates.
