Each season, a rookie running back comes out of nowhere to star in the fantasy football world. This year, I think it’s going to be Doug Martin. At college, Martin wasn’t very famous even though he played on the Boise State team everyone talked about. But at the pro level, Martin has a chance to be the best Boise State product of all-time.
While Martin is relatively short, he’s strong and fast. Additionally, shorter running backs have had a lot of success in recent years, so his height shouldn’t be an issue. Look for him to get drafted in either the last first round or early second round. If he can earn a starting gig in his rookie season, expect him to be a 2012 fantasy football stud.
