Last season, it seemed destined that Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls was going to win the MVP. He was a great player with a great story on a great team. This year, however, the 2012 MVP voting isn’t nearly as simple. There are a few very good candidates but no one really stands above the pack.
Let’s start with Tony Parker of the San Antonio Spurs. He had his best season ever in leading the Spurs to the top record in the NBA. Chris Paul of the Los Angeles Clippers and Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder also had very good seasons. Who do we think will win the 2012 NBA MVP? LeBron James of the Miami Heat. He was just too good to ignore – plus the Heat were one of the better teams in the league.
