Thomas Robinson is going to be picked within the top four picks in the 2012 NBA Draft. The 6-foot-9 power forward out of Kansas is a player who will be able to help right away in the NBA. Due to that fact, teams around the league love him and fantasy basketball owners will look to add him to their lineups.
Robinson’s strength and motor will allow his skills from college to translate to the NBA. Expect him to be able to score, rebound and block a few shots. However, if you are looking for one standout skill, look no further than rebounding. Robinson is a guy who should average double-digits in boards at some point in his career — perhaps as early as his rookie season.
Offensively, he made seven three-pointers last year at Kansas so there’s hope he can add a bit of outside shooting in the NBA game. He’s a bad (though improving) free throw shooter but he shoots for a high percentage from the floor.
Robinson is going to be a workhorse. Don’t overlook him when it comes time for 2013 fantasy basketball.
