In the last few years, the Indiana Pacers have done a very good job in the draft. However, in the 2012 NBA Draft, I thought they did a poor job. Especially in the first round.

With the 26th overall pick, the Pacers selected Miles Plumlee. Yes, the same Miles Plumlee who was extremely average at Duke. He’s a physical beast but he just isn’t very good at basketball. That’s a problem.

The Pacers also ended up purchasing a second round selection to pick Orlando Johnson. I think Johnson is a decent prospect but he’s not someone good enough that his rights needed to be purchased for a large sum of money.
