The Atlanta Hawks selected two players in the 2012 NBA Draft. In the first round, they took John Jenkins. In the second round, they went with Mike Scott.
While Jenkins is a fantastic shooter, he’s a one-dimensional player. He can make three-pointers … but that’s about it. He doesn’t have any other skill that could be considered above average.
Scott, too, is one dimensional. Scott is a rebounder … and a good one at that. But the Hawks needed more than just a couple of one-dimensional bench pieces.
