The Minnesota Timberwolves made their big splash before the draft when they sent their 18th overall selection to the Houston Rockets for the rights to Chase Budinger. That ended up being a solid swap. Budinger should be able to help right away and he fits a need.

With their second round pick, the T’Wolves decided to go with Robbie Hummel at 58. I thought this was a good value pick. Hummel is a guy who would have been a top 20 pick if he didn’t suffer a pair of torn ACL injuries while in college. If he can recover, the T’Wolves have a steal.
