Chauncey Billups is back after a serious injury to his left Achilles tendon last season. It took a long time for him to recovery, but Billups has now been given the green light to resume his NBA career.
Last season, Billups averaged 15 points, 4 rebounds and 2.5 rebounds before he got hurt.
Clippers coach Vinny Del Negro was simply happy with the fact that Billups is back.
Said Del Negro: “I’m just proud of Chauncey because I’ve seen on a daily basis how hard he’s worked to get back. From never missing a therapy session to his conditioning and his determination, I’m real proud of him.”
Billups’ return couldn’t have come at a better time for the Clippers. L.A. has lost four straight games to drop their record to 8-6.
