In the modern world, athletes no longer have to wait for news services to announce the latest news. They can just announce it on their own. That’s exactly what happened when Rolando McClain told the world that he was released by the Oakland Raiders on Facebook.
Although McClain later deleted his Facebook post detailing his release, it was too late. The genie was out of the bottle and team sources were able to confirm the move.
Rolando McClain had a good year for the Raiders last season but has been poor this year. He has played less and less and there are reports that he doesn’t get along with the coaching staff.
