Antawn Jamison isn’t happy in his first season with the Los Angeles Lakers. He made his feelings known recently to the L.A. Daily News. After a win against the Portland Trail Blazers, Antawn Jamison said his lack of playing time didn’t make sense.
“They’re pretty much telling me my services are no longer needed,” Jamison added.
Jamison hasn’t played a minute in five consecutive Lakers games. The 36-year-old was previously averaging 20 minutes per game before getting benched.
However, instead of being a distraction by whining, Jamison decided to take the high road.
“I’m just kind of disappointed in myself that I kind of expressed my frustration the way I did … but I’m human,” said Jamison. “We move forward and most importantly we got a game here in two day. Whether it’s me being a cheerleader smiling or running up and down the court, I’m going to do everything I can to be positive and make sure that we continue to win games.”
Props to Jamison for stopping the whining and realizing the bigger picture.
