Chris Paul isn’t playing tonight for the Los Angeles Clippers as they take on the Memphis Grizzlies. Paul is missing his first game of the season due to a bruised knee. The All-Star point guard is listed as day-to-day. The good news is that Clippers head coach Vinny Del Negro doesn’t think the injury is serious.
“We’ll just let him get some therapy, get some rest and make sure he heals up properly,” said Del Negro. “Every day it will be kind of a game-time decision, but tonight he’ll be out.”
Paul is averaging 16.8 points, 9.7 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. Not only is he a surefire All-Star this season, he’s a strong MVP candidate. In fact, he’s a lock to finish in the top five of the MVP voting.
