Rajon Rondo’s season is over. The superstar point guard for the Boston Celtics has suffered a torn ACL in his knee. This is obviously a huge blow for the Celtics and Rondo.
For the season, Rondo is averaging 13.7 points, 11.1 assists and 5.6 rebounds. He’s been an assist machine who has put together a handful of triple-doubles.
At first, the Celtics thought he just hyperextended his knee. He tried to play earlier today against the Heat but didn’t make it through warm ups. He then went to the hospital, got an MRI and the torn ACL was discovered.
The Celtics are already under .500. Now it’ll be even more difficult to make the playoffs.
