Another chapter of baseball’s fight against steroids was recently authored when an “Anti-Aging Shop” in Miami turned out to be a front for a steroids distributor. Many players seems to have been caught in the mix. Truthfully, many of the names are surprising: Alex Rodriguez, Nelson Cruz, Melky Cabrera and others.
But one name is a surprise: Gio Gonzalez of the Washington Nationals.
Did Gio Gonzalez take steroids? Maybe. Perhaps he’s innocent. However, why was he going to a business that sells steroids? He’ll swear up and down that he’s innocent … but in this era of Lance Armstrong … nobody believes excuses anymore.
I can’t tell you Gio Gonzalez too steroids. I can’t tell you Gio Gonzalez is a cheater.
But from now on, I won’t believe that he’s clean.
