The Winter X Games are usually a whole lot of fun to watch. This year, though, the event was overshadowed by tragedy. Caleb Moore has died from the injuries he suffered while performing at the Winter X Games. Moore was a freestyle snowmobile rider.
A winner of four medals previously in the Winter X Games, Moore tried to do a backflip on his snowmobile … but something went terribly wrong. He landed on his head and then snowmobile rolled over him.
At first, Moore was just diagnosed with a concussion. Then it was found that he had a bruise on his heart. After that, he suffered a brain complication. Now he’s gone.
“He lived his life to the fullest,” said a spokesman for the family. “He was an inspiration.”
