David Beckham is signing with Paris-Saint Germain. However, that might not be the most noteworthy part of this transaction. The soccer superstar has said he is going to donate the salary he’s paid by Paris-Saint Germain to a charity in Paris. He hasn’t yet named the charity.
The 37-year-old Englishman has been playing in the MLS recently for the Los Angeles Galaxy. And he’s done quite well — winning two championships. Now he’s returning to Europe … to play for free, essentially.
Paris-Saint Germain is owned by a group out of Qatar that is known to spend huge sums of money. Whoever the lucky charity is could see a ton of money coming their way soon.
