LeBron James is a great basketball player. Today, there’s no player on Earth on his level. That said, he’s not known as a great clutch player. Tonight against the Orlando Magic, LeBron showed the world he can be deadly in the clutch.
Down by a point with the seconds ticking away, LeBron was able to get to the basketball and score a layup. After the Magic missed a heave at the buzzer, LeBron’s game-winner was the talk of the town.
In the Miami Heat’s 97-96 victory, LeBron finished with 26 points, three rebounds and two assists. While those numbers are mediocre for his lofty standards, the only thing that will be remembered is the game-winner against the Magic.
The win moved Miami’s winning streak to 16 games — the longest streak by any team in the NBA this season.
