Reggie Bush has signed a four-year contract with the Detroit Lions. After two solid seasons with the Miami Dolphins, Bush will now join the high-powered Lions attack.
In the fantasy football world, this is great news for Bush. He was stuck on a Dolphins team that had trouble moving the football. On Detroit, opposing defenses won’t be able to key in on home. Instead, Calvin Johnson and the rest of the passing attack will garner most of the attention.
If you look at Bush’s production, it has actually be quite good. In his last four seasons, he has averaged at least 4.2 yards per carry. He has also caught at least 34 passes in each season.
The Reggie Bush 2013 fantasy football projection is quite simple: If he’s playing and he’s healthy, he’s going to be good on the Lions. He will find running lanes and he will be a threat out of the backfield.
But with Bush, being healthy is far from certain. Last season, he played in all 16 games for the first time since his rookie campaign. Given how fragile he is, Bush is still a fantasy football gamble. But with the Lions, his ceiling just got a whole lot higher.
