One of the many heroic stories coming out of the Boston Marathon bombing includes Victoria McGrath, a student at Northwestern. After she was hit by shrapnel from the bomb, Sgt. Tyler Dodd comforted her by showing her his shrapnel wounds. He told her everything would be okay — and it helped Victoria McGrath get through the ordeal.
Sgt. Tyler Dodd — a Purple Heart recipient — is a true hero. But let’s not forget Victoria McGrath. She was brave enough to calm down and then tell him to go help other people.
In the Boston Marathon bombing, she ended up with nerve damage and a compound fracture. Relatively speaking, the 20-year-old is doing well. As you can see in the pictures, she is a beautiful girl. Let’s think positive thoughts about both people in this story.
