Tim Tebow is a free agent after getting released by the New York Jets. While it’s not a surprise that the Jets gave up on him, it is a little bit of a surprise that they weren’t able to trade him. Instead, now we have one pressing question: Where will Tim Tebow sign?
As it stands, there’s not an obvious answer. In fact, some NFL experts say he will end up in the Canadian Football League. One report said the Lingerie Football League offered the popular quarterback a contract. However, I believe Tim Tebow will stay in the NFL rather than go to the CFL … or LFL, for that matter.
Here are my Tim Tebow possible destinations in free agency:
He’s from the area. The Jaguars are desperate for fans. It makes a lot of sense — until you remember that Jacksonville has all but publicly stated they’re not interested.
Jerry Jones likes to make a splash. The Cowboys could use a winner. But would Tim Tebow sign on to be a full-time backup behind Tony Romo?
New Eagles head coach Chip Kelly loves mobile quarterbacks. Tim Tebow definitely qualifies. If Kelly doesn’t believe in Michael Vick, Tebow could be signed to be added to the mix.
New England Patriots
If the quarterback is willing to play multiple positions, the team that makes by far the most sense is the Patriots. He could play wildcat QB, running back, tight end and even wide receiver in New England. But does he want that?
