An Akron football standout identified as Seth Cunningham is facing felony charges after he allegedly stole a water bong at gunpoint. The pipe store claims the bong was valued at more than $400. The cornerback is facing aggravated robbery charges but is out of jail after after posting a bond of a reported $30,000.
Heading into this season, Seth Cunningham was supposed to be a senior leader on the Akron football team. The 21-year-old was a star in high school — in both football and track — while playing in the state of Ohio. His younger brother is also reportedly on the Akron team.
After this arrest, the school has suspended him indefinitely. Will he ever play football again? Unless he can prove these charges are unfounded, it’s not looking good for Seth Cunningham.
