Tragedy as Annais Rittenberg Dies in Yosemite National Park

At Camp Tawonga in Yosemite National Park, camp counselor Annais Rittenberg died this morning after a tree fell on her. She was reportedly sitting in a circle by a campfire at the time of the accident. Four others — all female — were injured and taken to a hospital.

This Jewish camp has been around for nearly 90 years and has more than 150 counselors and other staff members. Additionally, there are several hundred kids. No child witness the tragic accident, thankfully, which occurred shortly after 8 a.m.
