1. Detroit represents Obama’s policies in a nutshell
Obama’s answer to the recession has always been simply summarized by the following: raise taxes and discourage small businesses. Detroit, in particular, has unusually high industrial, commercial and property taxes. The failure of these policies reflects a failure on Obama’s part to come up with ideas that actually work.
