For years, PerkStreet was the savvy man’s online bank. Their program worked just liked a regular banking company with the added bonus of giving you cashback on virtually every purchase you made with your debit card. Unfortunately, PerkStreet.com is now out of business.

And even worse, the company’s handling of the situation is terrible. Instead of honoring the current cashback balances, the company has decided to steal those perks and go home. PerkStreet’s claim is that they simply ran out of money and the end came suddenly. I believe that is absolutely B.S.

Anyone who runs a company knows when the end is coming. Businesses rarely if ever collapse suddenly. PerkStreet.com was well aware of the fact that they were running on fumes. But instead of freezing the perks program while they use their last money to make good with all their loyal users, they used their last pennies elsewhere and have now kicked their loyal users to the curb.

Shame on PerkStreet for claiming all along to being a new, better way to bank. In the end, they turned out to be scummier and slimier than the average banking outfit.

I’m so mad. I had $158 in there and had been saving up for two years to purchase my two children car seats. Now it’s gone? :*-(

They spend millions of dollars advertising on the radio yet don’t have any money to pay back their loyal customers. I’ve been with PerkStreet for FOUR YEARS and told all my friends. Now I’m embarrased. Sucker is right.

I told all my friends too. At the very least the owners of the company should have taken out personal loans to settle everything. To steal our money and point to the small print is Bulllllllllllllshiiyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyiiiiiitttttttttttt.

Maybe I should bail on them with a negative balance equivalent to my EARNED perks. Sounds fair to me. Bad business Perk Street folks. Sorry to say, but I’m all done.
