Just days after we told you about Harrison Ford’s new role, it’s been announced that Mel Gibson has also joined the cast of Expendables 3. This just keeps getting crazier and crazier!
There’s no real intel on what Banderas is going to be doing in the film but it is being reported that Gibson will be a villain. It’s almost like a dress rehearsal for his role as a bad guy in Machete Kills. Is Gibson on his way to rehabilitating his career? Only time will tell.
One thing that fans have been also wondering about is the sudden departure of Bruce Willis. Tweets from the franchise’s creator, Sylvester Stallone, suggest that money, or specifically “greed,” is to blame. Apparently, he had a “specific money demand” that Stallone was unwilling to meet.
He was reportedly offered a whopping $3 million for just four days of shooting in Bulgaria but refused to show up for anything less than $4 million. He basically wanted “a million dollars a day.” That’s unbelievable.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, “Stallone and everybody else involved said no” and it’s believed that “Willis was pretty surprised he was replaced in 72 hours by Harrison Ford.”
Of course, there has been no official comment on the situation but it clearly speaks for itself. Drama!
