Gus is a character that we wish was still around on Breaking Bad. However, his death was one of the best scenes in the series’ history — so far.
As the unassuming owner of Los Pollos Hermanos, Gustavo Fring seems like a shrewd businessman that had built his business up on the strength of his own hard work and dedication. In fact, Gus is a big-time drug manufacturer that uses his business as a cover story for his vast success in the black market. Gus approaches Walt to cook for him, but Walt declines, hoping to get out of the game before things get out of hand.
After saving his life and showing him his superlab, Gus manages to convince Walt to cook anyway. Things quickly get strained between the two, and it quickly becomes evident that one will have to kill the other. Even though Gus always seems a step ahead, Walt manages to off Gus with help from Hector Salamanca in one of the most explosively awesome moments in the whole show.
