An annoying issue I had when I upgraded my iPhone to iOS 7 was the fact that iMessage started using my email instead of my phone number. Thus, when I sent a message, it broadcast my email to the receiver. That was odd since it never happened prior to the upgrade.
Thankfully the fix for this matter is extremely simple. All you have to do is change one setting and your phone number will again be what you’re identified by with iMessage. In other words, it’ll be back to how it was prior to the iOS 7 download and installation.
All you need to do is go to this setting in your device:
Switch it over to use your number instead of your email and you’re set. That’s it!
