A sad story out of Gloucester, Virginia is emerging in which a teenager named Elizabeth Nicole Evans committed suicide due to relentless bullying. The 16-year-old reportedly was thrown into barrels, trapped in her locker and punched for no reason — among other allegations.

Look below for 9 pictures of Elizabeth Nicole Evans, who was a junior at Goucester County High School. Known to friends and family as Lizzy, she was able to hide her inner pain beneath a bubbly, talkative exterior.

Her father says he alerted the school of the bullying on multiple occasions but that officials didn’t do anything to stop it. Let’s hope that there’s an investigation and any bullies and any negligent officials are brought to justice.

There seems to be a trend of kids killing themselves because of being bullied. There should be an awareness campaign to let children know how to deal with a bully.

Yes, I agree Sasha. But there seems to be a desperate need for closer monitoring of students in between classes, at lunch, before and after school, etc… Why can’t they take staff members and have them monitor the students in the halls and bathrooms to protect these bullied kids? I had to remove my son from school altogether and begin homeschooling for him because he was being bullied and NO ONE cared to really help. My heart goes out to Elizabeth and her family. The bully situation across the nation seems to have spiraled out of control.

We also pulled our child from Gloucester Public schools. My daughter was threatened with being killed and when my wife went to the school She was told “These things happen, you just have to suck it up”. I know there are many more kids being bullied than what the parents even know, they are too afraid to tell anyone. I’ve been there… Wake up school officials(AKA Mr. Kiser) and see what’s going on.
