In crazy movie news, Disney has acquired the rights to future installments of Indiana Jones movies but they have no plans of making a sequel for “at least two to three years.”

What?

Sure, there are a lot of other franchises in the works right now (AvengersTranformersStar Wars, etc…) but this one needs to take a special kind of priority considering the ever-advancing age of star, Harrison Ford.

Of course, there is a very valid reason for the delay. As Chairman of Walt Disney Studios, Alan Horn, explained to Variety: ”We haven’t done anything. We don’t have a story. We need a story.”

Um, yes, a story is usually the first thing you need…

The other major factor, in a series such as this, is that you need the main actor.  Harrison Ford, who may appear in Star Wars: Episode VII has hinted that he would consider doing another Indy movie but, if the studio waits too long, it might be too much for him.  He is 71 years old, after all…
